For a long time, I didn’t know what I wanted to do for a living. All I knew was that whatever it was, it had to be something where I would be able to help and empower people. Having worked in a children’s hospital’s legal department during law school, I loved the fact that, in a small way, I was helping some of the best doctors in the world perform life-saving miracles on kids.
Later, I was offered a position at a personal injury firm in Denver, Colorado. Working there, I realized I had been grossly misinformed about personal injury law. These clients weren’t people who were looking to cheat the system and get rich quick, like the media would have us believe. What I saw instead was legitimately, even tragically, injured people who only were looking to be compensated for their injuries in such a way that they could be made whole again. Many were being ignored by their insurance companies and needed representation to navigate the treacherous and uncharted territory. Without representation, many of these people would have continued to be ignored, and they never would have seen any justice for the harm that had been done to them, oftentimes due to no fault of their own. This is when I discovered my calling as a Personal Injury Attorney.
Eventually, I returned to my hometown of St. Helens, Oregon in order to build my own personal injury practice. I often receive new clients through word of mouth, or later discover that our families know one another. As your attorney, I understand and love our small community, and will work tirelessly to represent my friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
